European Commission Elections 2024. Between 6 and 9 june, more than 350 million voters from the 27 eu countries will headed to the polls to elect the 720 members of the european parliament. Eu diplomats signed off on the election dates.

In the elections this month, the european people’s party emerged as the largest single party, with 186 of the 720 seats. The european commission, the e.u.’s executive body, drafts legislation for the bloc, and the parliament can veto it, which still gives it important leverage.
